Casey Kavanagh grew up in a small town in Minnesota. As a 3rd generation musician, music was a part of his soul from a very young age. As a child, while most of his friends were listening to AC/DC and Metallica, Casey was drawn towards the groove of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, the lyrics and melodies of James Taylor and Otis Redding, and the energy of James Brown and Maceo Parker. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a music degree, he left home and moved to the Twin Cities where he spent the next few years playing in one of Minneapolis's premier soul and R&B bands. In 2011 Casey moved south to Springfield, Missouri, to start a family. He quickly plugged into the local music scene and has since played in many different projects around the Ozarks. A member of the award-winning Papa Green Shoes since 2014, Casey is most known around the Ozarks for his shredding saxophone and piercing vocals with this high-energy 4-piece band.

As a solo performer, Casey offers two distinct live experiences. His piano and guitar show combines crooner style piano with singer-songwriter acoustic tunes, covering familiar hits from the sixties through today across pop, soul, folk, and classic rock. His OneManShow takes it further, combining piano, guitar, saxophone, harmonica, and live looping to build a sound that feels like a full band without ever losing the intimacy of a solo act. Both shows are performed from a custom-built piano cabinet that houses all equipment internally, creating a clean, professional, cable-free setup with no visible stands or clutter. This polished presentation fits comfortably in bars, restaurants, lounges, listening rooms, private events, and outdoor venues. His repertoire includes artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, The Beatles, Sam Cooke, Lionel Richie, Chris Stapleton, James Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Otis Redding, and many more.

Casey is also a recording artist with three albums to his name. In 2022 he released Here I Am, a deeply personal collection of original songs that took the listener on a journey through two decades of first loves, great loves, lost loves, and forbidden loves. In 2023 he followed up with I'm Still Here, a companion acoustic cover album recorded entirely by himself. In 2024 Casey released his most ambitious project yet, Peaks & Valleys, a full band album where he wrote, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered everything entirely by himself. Every single instrument, every note, every layer of sound. It is, simply put, Casey Kavanagh at his most unfiltered.
